[PIC] 2020 Corvette Owner Celebrates 'High Mileage' Milestone

Since C8 Corvette production started in February 2020, Chevrolet has produced approximately 180K mid-engine Corvettes over the last five years. So surely there is at least one car out there who’s living a great trouble-free life, amirite? Yes, this one of those “good news” posts where we point out the obvious while trying to combat some of the negativity that sometimes runs rampant on the Forums, Facebook, and yes…even here.

Today’s good news comes after an owner posted a recent shot of his 2020 Corvette’s odometer. While it’s true that some C8 Corvette owners have unfortunately experienced issues with their cars, it’s always nice to hear about an owner whose Corvette has been driven over the years without any problems.

MidEngineCorvetteForum member gwalsh88 is one of those owners who has thoroughly enjoyed his 2020 Corvette over the years, and he just recently hit the big “8-0” in the car. That’s 80,000 miles on his 2020 Corvette Stingray and he says it’s been “rock solid” since the day he got it.

gwalsh88 shared a photo to MECF showing that his Corvette Stingray’s odometer at “80000 mi” and gave us an update on his C8 ownership experience:

I just hit 80,000 trouble free miles in my early build daily drives 2020 Stingray. So many folks post about problems they have, and I feel for them, but this car has been rock solid for me. While I live in Florida, I have driven it out to Vegas for Ron Fellows and up to New England. I have driven in near hurricane like conditions as well as through a Blizzard (not going to lie that was a little scary). But the car has been amazing. Just have replaced wear items like tires, brakes, the OEM battery, and have completed all of the recommended maintenance. It has been my reliable corvette since I started driving them 42 years ago!”

my 2020 2Lt coupe has 56k miles , it is #2465 and has been trouble free except for rear view mirror camera , I also have a 2022 w 5k…. and if the price drops just a little more , I am buying 1 more… then I wait for the C9…. safe travels to All

This was an article I saw in CorvetteForum in June 2016…..with a picture showing the odometer reading! This was the highest mileage I had ever heard a Corvette had

Kentucky is home to the highest mileage sports car in the world, it’s traveled the equivalent of 31 times around the earth.
*The red 2000 “base model” C5 Corvette boasts 777,338 miles on its odometer.
*It was donated to the National Corvette Museum.
*The reliable LS1 V8 engine had no major issues during its 18 years on the road.

PS Worlds highest mileage (Guinness World record holder) 1966 Volvo 1800s, 3,000,000 miles on the odometer. Remember “The Saint” the great Simon Templar, Staring a very young Roger Moore?
