It’s no secret that the supply of C8 Corvettes has finally started meeting up with the demand, and once-high prices have started to plummet.
In fact, a YouTuber who runs the RacerX channel recently took a field trip to Stingray Chevrolet in Plant City, Florida, where he found tons of new and used C8s, including some even marked as “Manager’s Specials.” Can you imagine seeing such a sight in 2020 and 2021?
After all, when the new mid-engine Corvette first hit the road in 2020, it was hard to get your hands on one unless you were willing to get in line, place your order after months of waiting, and then wait some more for the car to be built and delivered.
But now, RacerX’s recent visit showed a line of brand new 2024 and 2025 Corvettes stretching as far as the eye could see at Stingray Chevy, not to mention several used highly-specced used Stingrays and even a nice selection of brand new Z06s in a variety of great colors.
There’s never been a better time to pick up a new or used C8 without having to wait, and better yet, prices are falling on all these cars, even on higher-end variants like the Z06.
RacerX says he’s seen used C8s dipping as low as the 50s and low 60s, and that represents quite a bargain for performance enthusiasts.
After all, don’t forget that the C8 Stingray is one phenomenal car in its own right, with a top speed of 194 mph and 0 to 60 times under 3 seconds, not to mention the great handling characteristics created by the shift of the engine behind the seats. Also, the quality of the beautiful interior is greatly improved and looks worthy of a car costing much more.
In addition, since the aftermarket companies have had four years to work on their products, RacerX points out that the base C8s can have their power levels boosted to Z06 levels for much less money.
It’ll be interesting to see if these low prices continue to fall, or if they stabilize or perhaps head upwards again. With so many new cars readily available now, we wouldn’t be surprised to see prices for used C8s keep falling – which is definitely good news for fans who knew this day would eventually arrive. Patience, after all, is a virtue, they say.

Chevrolet has shot them selves in the foot, America was doing great in design and production of America’s sports car the corvette since 1953. All these years the corvette has been American made and designed, now we want to copy the European cars, why? I my self will not ever buy another corvette that looks like a European model. Americans like American built things not copying the European models. Stupidity of woke people working at GM ( Chevrolet) will put them out of business you watch! We once had our standard tools and now days we copy the Europeans again, why?. Just cost Americans more money to have two sets of tools , one metric and one standard. Why?
That sound you heard was the bubble bursting. Not surprising… what is surprising is how long it lingered.
Time now for us regular folks who despise paying five-figure ADMs to actually get a deal…
ALL CORVETTES IN CENTRAL FLORIDA WERE UNDER WATER FROM HURRICANE, BUT THE DEALERS AND CHEVY SAY THE CARS ARE OK. THE WHOLE AREA FLOODED. I WOULD NOT BUY ANY THING FROM FLORIDA.
If Chevrolet wants to maximize trying to sell off their excess new Corvette inventory why don’t they offer a rebate to their Corvette customers that matter the most. That being all of us current Corvette owners or lessees.
Pretty simple, you don’t have to be Milton Friedman to understand. Wages down, inflation up, unemployment up, interest rates up, the consumer(economic slave) tapped out on debt, supply up, prices down. Heck every day cars at 40-50 grand.
For 4 years the demand was there and they sold pretty much every one they could build, that really shows me that we americans don’t like any hint of european style, right. What rock are you living under, I plan on ordering mine in a little over a year, I think this is one of the best looking Corvettes made and will be proud to have one in my garage, next to my 63.
Yeah well that’s what they get for contracting with the private investors and how their manufacturing is run. The apathy they have towards real time customers is at an abysmal length. These manufacturers could care less about whether customers like or dislike what they put out. It’s a sickening thing where these companies are in their echo chambers cycling the money around amongst themselves. Dystopian kind of stuff where the few break away from main society.
Hard times are here. My home fire insurance monthly payment is more than my Stingray payment!
And yet, when I was on their E-Ray order list, it would have taken 2-3 years before I got an allocation.
Something is fishy.
Stingray Chevrolet has Best Selection of Corvettes in all of Florida in my opinion. I drove from South Florida to purchase just months ago a Pre-Owned 2019 Z06 with just 4000 miles. Couldn’t be Happier.
