The 2024 model year came to a close on September 9th and Chevrolet has officially released the production stats for the C8 Corvette’s fifth year of production. The official total for the model year is 42,934 Corvettes produced, and it represents what we believe the C8 planners wanted to see as a “typical production year” in terms of output. Unlike the nearly record setting 2023 model year which ran approximately 17 months, the 2024 model year ran from September 2023 through September 2024, and for the most part, there were no supply chain interruptions or other external factors which significantly impacted production during the model year.

The big news for 2024 production was the integration of the new Corvette E-Ray into the production matrix. This model addition had been planned from the beginning when the plant was completely renovated to produce the mid-engine models, and it also gives us a sense of how they will treat future model additions. The E-Ray’s ramp up in 2024 was very slow for those buyers awaiting their orders to be picked up, but by the final month of 2024 production, the build cadence had rapidly increased.
For owners of 2024 Corvettes who are wondering how rare their cars may be, these stats won’t really give you the full breakout. For that, we suggest calling Betty at the National Corvette Museum’s Library and Archives and ordering your “1 of 1” letter which compares your build to all others in 2024.
We can’t say enough how good these numbers look for 2024. From the total of 42,934 Corvettes produced, the breakdown in countries show US buyers received 37,234 (86.7%) vs Canada 3,334 (7.8%), Europe 1,072 (2.5%), Australia/NZ 662 (1.5%), Japan 411 (1.0%), Mideast 111 (0.3%), and Mexico 99 (0.2%).

What do you suppose the chances are that one of those 19 AYM HTC ER’s is 3LZ with SCG interior (i.e. the only way to get SCG interior paneling)?
That’s what I was going to order–before GM had a fit of stupid and killed off AYM.
Heck many of these cars are sitting at all the dealerships in my city. The worm does turn.
The more they build the more longevity assured for parts and support. Love it!!
