Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvettes to his customers who come from all across the country to work with the nation’s top individual Corvette seller. But before we get to the weekly deliveries, we got some coverage from Corvettes at Carlisle!
Zora Arkus-Duntov made his long-awaited return to Corvettes at Carlisle, and he was the hit of the show. We saw him driving around with America’s top Corvette seller Mike Furman, as well as sitting down with Jeff Nowicki to get caught up on the latest advances from Brembo Brakes and Mobil 1. We later spotted Zora in the Spring Mountain tent where we believe he was booking a refresher class at the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School. All kidding aside, Mike has been working hard to ensure that Zora’s visit to Carlisle would provide a lot of smiles and he certainly didn’t disappoint. Even though Mike was up in PA for most of the week, we still have some great deliveries to share, and you can always count on some fantastic throwback and vintage photos that will make your day!

~8/20/24~ Criswell has another Chevrolet dealer in Thurmont, MD which is a small truck dealership. I knew I would be passing by on my way to Corvettes at Carlisle, PA so I made an appt with Marcus through Brandon Plakas to do my first oil change. My 2024 Z06 (vin 00001) only has 750 miles but the oil viscosity was down to 15-20%. Marcus was our lead Corvette master tech in Gaithersburg and has been at our Thurmont store for at least 10 years when Thurmont opened up, located just below Gettysburg, PA. Completed the task and I motored on up to Carlisle to visit with some local customers in the area….sort of like house calls but I’m not a DR.
8/21/24~ Hysteria Purple 2025 Eray gets unloaded for the GM display tent. This color is getting rave reviews from all those that see it in person:
8/21/24~ C8 ZR1….comes off the enclosed trailer for the GM display tent. GM is quoted as saying late Summer 2025 release. Your guess is as good as mine. Stay tuned.
~8/21/24~New Competition Yellow for 2025 on display at the GM tent on the Manufacturers Midway.

~ Harold B. of Middleburg, Kentucky was referred to me several years ago by Steve H. And both of them have bought several Corvettes from me the past 8 +years. The real story is that they both have been buying new Corvettes since the 1960’s, check out the 2nd picture of Harold and his new 1963 Split window coupe(with 64 hubcaps). I had his new Arctic White 2024 Corvette Eray convertible drop shipped for courtesy delivery to his local Chevrolet dealer in Nicholasville, Kentucky. Equipment: 3LZ, Adrenaline Red dipped interior, stealth interior trim pkg, bright red calipers, gloss black wheels and Eray badge in Blue.

Mikes new and old content is extraordinary.
Ton of great pics this week! I particularly like the still from a classic scene in the movie American Graffiti, as well as the dark green ’70 to ’72 coupe by the water, the ’62 styling show car, the black or dark blue ’68 coupe, and the Mosport Green ’66 coupe.

The photos of the dark green coupe by the water were taken at the Deering Estate in Miami, FL. The Estate was a film location in several Miami Vice episodes… nice historical place.
