Corvette Delivery Dispatch with National Corvette Seller Mike Furman for Aug 11th

Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvettes to his customers who come from all across the country to work with the nation’s top individual Corvette seller.

Welcome back to another fun-filled delivery post by the nation’s top Corvette salesman Mike Furman. Mike has a bit of everything for this week from historical pics of astronauts and their Corvettes while also sharing pics of his customers picking up their new rides. Of course, many of you are here for the throwbacks and vintage pics Mike is known for, so make sure you scroll to the bottom and then let us know your favorites!

~Jay G. of Hollywood, Florida sent me a very cool birthday gift. Jay has only taken up painting as a hobby approx 1 year ago! He spent 47 hours on this incredible painting of his Amplify Orange 2023 Z06/Z07 that he purchased from me last year. This will hang proudly in my home office, Thank you Jay! Very much appreciated.

~ Astrovettes, 1969. The crew of Apollo 12 astronauts Pete Conrad, Richard Gordon, and Alan Bean ordered custom-painted Corvettes. Each ordered a matching Stingray with 390hp, 427 V8.

~Alec Ulmann was indeed a pivotal figure in motorsports history, particularly in the establishment of the Twelve Hours of Sebring. His background as an aeronautical engineer gave him a unique perspective on endurance racing, which he channeled into creating one of the most prestigious endurance races in the world. The Sebring race, known for its challenging conditions and rich history, owes much of its legacy to Ulmann’s vision and dedication.

The photograph shows Ulmann speaking to the drivers atop a Corvette, captures a moment of significance in the race’s early days. The Corvette was not only the official car for the event but also a symbol of American motorsports enthusiasm during that era. Ulmann’s book, The Sebring Story, published in 1969, provides an in-depth look at the race’s development and the personalities that shaped it, cementing his role as a key chronicler of this iconic event.

~Kevin and Betsy K. of Roswell, Georgia factory ordered from me a Red Mist 2024 Corvette Z06 Convertible with Natural dipped interior and this past Saturday took delivery at the National Corvette Museum. The staff in Bowling Green, KY rolled out the red carpet and fun was had by all. Equipment: 3LZ, front lift, ceramic brakes, edge red calipers, black exhaust tips and much more.

Quick email from Kevin after delivery “Mike it was a truly memorable experience this weekend. Beverly at the museum was outstanding! The car is an American masterpiece!”

~Jeremy Welborn of Lawton, Oklahoma has been a Corvette enthusiast for two decades and today he took delivery of his 26th Corvette that he has owned, 5 of his Corvettes were factory ordered through me along with 1 Silverado. The Museum staff rolled out the red carpet at the Corvette Museum as Jeremy took delivery of his new Amplify Orange 2024 Corvette Eray Convertible with Artemis interior. Most likely the last Amplify Orange Corvette built for the model year 2024 and 1 of 2 built in this color combo.

Jeremy is on an East Coast swing and will visit everyone’s friend in Ohio, Mark Thomas before having Esoteric apply ceramic coating. Then to Carlisle, PA (8/22-25) before stopping by to visit me at Criswell Chevrolet on 8/26.

Equipment: 3LZ, stealth interior trim, cf ground effects, level 2 CF interior trim, Orange Calipers, black exhaust tips, Jake hood graphic and much more. My Golfing friend and Paint/body shop mgr at the plant, Chuck Valentini stopped by to visit with Jeremy during his museum delivery (see picture).

~Bill M. of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota had ordered his 2015 Silver/Red Z06 Convt from me and yesterday he took delivery of his new Sea Wolfe Gray with Natural dipped interior 2024 Corvette Z06 Convertible. I had it drop shipped for courtesy delivery to his local Chevrolet dealership in Minnesota. Equipment: 3LZ, front lift, Carbon ceramic brakes, and much more. Bill sent me this picture and short email.

~Jeff K. of Woodstock, Maryland factory ordered his 3rd Corvette, this time driving home today his new Red Mist 2024 Corvette Z06 coupe. Equipment: 2LZ, GT2 seats, stealth interior trim, front lift, edge red calipers, Carbon Aero pkg and much more.

~Frank A. of Oak Point, Texas factory ordered from me his new Sea Wolfe Gray tricoat 2024 Corvette Z06 coupe with Red seas. I had it drop shipped for courtesy delivery to his local Chevrolet dealership in Richardson, Texas. Yesterday he took delivery and he is beyond excited. Equipment: 1LZ, Red engine intake, bright red calipers, black exhaust tips, satin graphite spider wheels, PDR and CF painted mirrors.

~Glenn W. of Granby, Massachusetts factory ordered from me his new Sea Wolfe Gray 2024 Corvette Z06 coupe and yesterday the red carpet was rolled out for him during his Museum delivery in Bowling Green, KY. He took a ride over to the Corvette Plant and was able to get a selfie picture moment with Ray Theriault the Corvette Plant Manager! Now that doesn’t happen every day but thank you Ray for being so gracious to our new Corvette customers. Equipment: 3LZ, Competition seats, stealth interior trim, front lift, edge red calipers, black exhaust tips, black spider wheels, and more.

Words from Glenn; “thank you for such a great experience. My son and I stopped at the Corvette Factory to get some photos and Ray the Corvette plant mgr was just leaving. He took the time to walk down to the photo spot and thanked us for being corvette customers. We chatted for a while and when I told him that we ordered the Z06 Corvette from you he said “Let’s take a selfie and I will text it to Mike.” Is there anyone in the Corvette community you don’t know? ??. We are almost half way home with 525 miles on the new Z. The car is a blast. See you in a week and a half at Corvettes at Carlisle.” Glenn of Granby, Massachusetts

The photos are now supplied to me by Fotofx, a company that has been working within the Museum for the past 10+ years and now they have pkgs available for a truly special experience to be captured digitally.

~Ricky and Irene C. of New Market, Maryland factory ordered their new Mosaic Black 2024 Traverse LT AWD from me and today was delivery day. Ricky and my son grew up together so I’ve known Ricky since he was 4. They have a son, Cameron and a daughter on the way so the Traverse was needed.
