[ACCIDENT] C7 Corvette Gets Stuck While Trying to Cross a Pedestrian Bridge in L.A.

We’ve covered thousands of stories on CorvetteBlogger over the past few years, but today definitely marks a first even for us.

NBC4 News out of Los Angeles used its chopper to get video of a most unusual sight – an Arctic White C7 Corvette coupe stuck on a pedestrian bridge about 5 a.m. today.

Maybe the driver thought he was on The Tail of the Dragon, the winding road in the Great Smoky Mountains that so many enthusiasts use to enjoy their sports cars. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. After navigating quite a ways up the pedestrian bridge, the car got stuck trying to navigate a sharp 90-degree turn up a ramp that would have eventually crossed over the freeway.

The bizarre incident happened next to the 210 Freeway in Sylmar, located in the San Fernando Valley and nicknamed “The Top of Los Angeles” because it’s the northernmost neighborhood within the city, but fortunately caused no disruption to traffic that continued whizzing past.

As for the driver of the Corvette, there’s no word on his condition, though NBC4 reporter Roland Sprewell says he was in the back of an ambulance called to the scene.
