[VIDEO] Corvette Summer Music Video by Green Day Features Mark Hamill

Are you ready for a remake of Corvette Summer featuring Mark Hamill?

The good news is you can watch it right now on YouTube in the new Green Day music video called Corvette Summer! The video made its debut on Tuesday at 1pm ET and in addition to Hamill’s appearance, the video also has the three Green Day band members and comedian Hannibal Buress.

The song appears on the latest album by Green Day called Saviors, and the video is low-budget remake of the movie that tells the story about a young man in high school named Mike who builds a custom right-hand drive Corvette only to have it stolen. While hanging up signs for the lost car, the kid sees his car and calls his friend “Kenny” (Mark Hamill) and together they go steal the car back.

Just like the original movie, the car thieves chase Kenny and the kid in a black Trans Am which culminates in a fiery explosion!

Rev up those engines, the Corvette Summer music video is here and it’s one wild ride!! The song was named after one of our favorite cult classic movies, so it only made sense to pay homage to it with the music video. We even took things one step further and got Mark Hamill (who starred in the original) to star in our remake alongside us, Hannibal Buress, and some others. We blew the entire budget on them so we had to get creative with cardboard boxes, some duct tape and matchbox cars we found in Tre’s basement. Directed by the dynamic duo Ryan Baxley & Brendan Walter. Buckle up, and enjoy the ride!
