Usually when muscle cars see the blue lights of the cops, it’s in their rearview mirror just before they get pulled over.
The tables were turned during a string of recent action at Bradenton Motorsports Park in Florida, however.
You can watch for yourself on the ImportRace channel on YouTube as this old-school police cruiser makes mincemeat out of a wide variety of competitors, including a couple of late-model Corvettes.
Offering written thanks on the side of the car to the Palmetto Police Department for their permission and support, this fourth-generation black-and-white Malibu police cruiser is definitely packing something mighty potent under its white hood. Just watch those front tires lift up off the ground if you need further verification.

After first dispensing of a Dodge Charger Scat Pack Widebody, the PPC takes on a black Lingenfelter C6 Corvette Z06 riding on Hoosier rear slicks. Despite the ‘Vette showing an 11.54 to an 11.56 for the cruiser on the board, the cops are still declared the winner probably because they somehow pass the finish line first.
Later that day, the cruiser emerges as the winner against a Mercedes-AMG C 63 and a Ford Mustang GT before even managing to take it to a Torch Red 2019 C7 ZR1 in the finale of the night – 10.846 to 10.879.
The bottom line: you might want to take it easy on the accelerator when you’re passing through Palmetto, Florida – just in case this old cruiser is filling in that day!

Corvettes usually don’t have to fear any Fords but damn if they don’t have to fear this ugly 1980’s Ford that can sure haul ass.
That was cool, highly modified cop car and a bunch of beginners that were sleeping at the lights, except for the last guy, he did ok.
