[VIDEO] Stock 2024 Corvette E-Ray Runs the Quarter Mile on Street Tires

Jess Iwuji was leaving the drag strip after spending the day with the family as he races his new 2024 Corvette E-Ray. For those races we previously watched against the Lamborghini Aventador and the Nissan GTR, the E-Ray was equipped with drag radials, but as he was about to head out with the E-Ray now wearing its Michelin street Pilot Sport 4s tires, he thought he would send it one more time for those who always ask how fast the car with its street tires is.

Turns out its quick enough! Jesse doesn’t have anyone lined up against him, so he does a solo run with his time being a 10.774 @ 125.77 mph. That’s a great time with a completely stock Corvette running on 93 octane.

Each time I head to the dragstrip after I post the video, there is always that one person who ask, “how quick is it on street tires”. In my opinion, if I go play basketball, I should put on my hooping shoes. If I go play football, I’m going to put on football cleats. If I go bowling, I’m going to put on bowling shoes. So why in the world do people want to run STREET TIRES at a DRAG STRIP, where the prep on the surface does not do well with street tires? Street tires are meant for the street, drag radials are meant for the dragstrip. But, since I’m a nice guy, I decided to do a street tire test at the drag strip. Hope you enjoy!
