A mangled mess of broken fiberglass covered with tree limbs dominates a photo of a 1968-72 Corvette Stingray taken after a one-vehicle wreck in Canada on Monday night.
Ontario Provincial Police’s Southern Georgia Bay detachment reports that the classic chrome-bumper C3 crashed into a forest about 25 meters off the road around 7:45 p.m. in Tiny Township, Ontario, leaving the front end of the Stingray badly damaged.
The 50-year-old driver, meanwhile, was treated at the scene by Simcoe County paramedics, who suspected she had been drinking alcohol. Stephanie Smith was arrested and transported to detachment to give breath samples, whereupon the Penetanguishene driver was charged with two offenses – Operation While Impaired and Operation Over 80 Milligrams.
The driver will ultimately face an appearance in Ontario Court of Justice in Midland, but in the meantime, as with all those who are charged with impaired driving, her driver’s license is suspended for 90 days and their Corvette will be impounded for seven days.

I wonder if the car has to be pulled out of the mess of trees and vegetation on the police’s dime since they impound it? A tiny silver lining.
