[ACCIDENT] C6 Corvette Flips Following a Crash into a Highway Median and Takes Out a Light Pole

Somehow the driver of this dark red C6 Corvette was able to walk away from this wreck in California at 9:33 Monday morning that left his once-beautiful ride a tangled mess of metal and fiberglass.

Authorities in Chula Vista near San Diego say witnesses saw the male driver of the Corvette speeding westbound on Olympic Parkway when he lost control and first hit two trees in the center divider before knocking over a light pole.

The car wound up on its roof, but the driver was still able to crawl out of the wreckage before rescue crews arrived on the scene.

You can see the aftermath of the crash on this unnarrated YouTube video posted by 911 Video News. The apparent driver is seen at one point in the back of an ambulance, looking somewhat dazed and wearing a neck brace as first responders tend to him.

During the crash, the Corvette apparently flung up some debris that struck the front of another oncoming vehicle but no one inside was injured.

  1. I thik I’ll slow down…………………………………………well,,,,,,,,maybe,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,naw….. it’s just to dang much fun to ‘mash ya motor’ …. but pik ya time & place better….:-)

  2. It looks like it might have been a recent purchase, because the rear plate looks like a temporary paper plate issued by California dealers. C6 Corvettes are easy to lose control of. The ass end of my C6 Z06 always wanted to be up front.
