[VIDEO] Would You Buy the First Stolen C8 Corvette Z06 in America?

After watching this video about an Arctic White 2024 Corvette Z06 that was stolen with just 2 delivery miles on the odometer, we reached out to Jason at the Front Seat Driver YouTube Channel to make sure we had this crazy story correct.

Apparently this brand-new Corvette Z06 Coupe is the first known stolen Z06 in the country! According to Jason, the car was delivered to a Louisiana dealership with just 2 miles on it. The buyer of the car hired a transport company, and we are told they disabled OnStar and took it for a 250-mile joyride!

In this quick walkaround video, they show the Corvette’s disassembled rearview mirror where the OnStar connection was dismantled. It’s also shown that the tires are missing some rubber, most likely from the massive burnouts that people do when they drive like they stole it.

None of this story had made the news as far as we know, and in the video, we learned that the original buyer no longer wanted the car once it was found/returned/located. The Z06 is now at Corvette Warehouse in Dallas, and they are going through the car to get it back in shape before reselling it.

If there is any good news in this story, it’s that the Louisiana dealership has moved this customer back to the top of their Z06 list! He’ll receive their next Z06 allocation…and hopefully a different transport company as well!

  1. You know it would have been rode hard and put up wet for the first 250 miles of the 500 mile break in period.

  2. The power is cut way back for the first 500 miles, so motor is probably OK. I would be more concerned with the transmission. A test drive is all I would need before buying probably way under MSRP.

  3. Too many Z06’s have had problems without abuse in the first few miles. I think it will be a tough sell. I hope the transport company had to pay dearly and if they did…they should have simply been required to buy the car at full price plus penalties, fines etc. They should own the car and be selling it.

  4. What’s the story with having your new cart transported? Too lazy to drive it yourself? How about buying it closer to your home?

  5. I’d be interested if I did not already have my ’23 Z51… but if I was genuinely interested, I want to see data from the car before I were to pull the trigger!

  6. Have the seller add a warranty that covers everything on the car for 100k and sells for $75K and I might consider it.
