The bad news is someone’s C8 Corvette was stolen.

The good news is police in Canada have already recovered the mid-engine Stingray and charged a man with multiple crimes.

The black 2022 Corvette appears to be none the worse for the incident, based on its appearance in a photo released this week by the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police.

Police recovered the hot Stingray, along with a 2021 Honda CRV, during a Thursday search at a Madeline Road property in Brant County conducted by the Brant OPP, Oxford and Haldimand OPP community street crimes units, and the OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau.

Authorities say the two cars are worth more than $163,000.

During the search, police also recovered suspected cocaine and suspected pxilocybin, a naturally occurring psychedelic prodrug compound produced by fungi.

Now, in connection with the incident, a 36-year-old Brant County man faces three counts of possession of stolen property obtained by crime over $5,000 and possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking.

He has been released from custody and will appear in Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.

If you have any information about this crime, police ask you to contact Brant County OPP at 1-888-3100-1122. If you’d like to remain anonymous, you can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222- 8477 to become eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
