Corvette Delivery Dispatch with National Corvette Seller Mike Furman for March 3rd

Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvettes to his customers who come from all across the country to work with the nation’s top individual Corvette seller.

Hello, Corvette Nation and thanks for joining us! Mike is off for a few days enjoying the sunshine in Florida, but he left us some pretty cool photos as he headed out the door. This post will have you seeing Red, but in a good way as the spotlight for the week is on these new Red Vettes just delivered to their happy new owners. Mike also has an outstanding collection of throwback and vintage pictures. You know the drill! Let us know your favorites in the comments. ~Back in time to December 2005…This story is titled..”When Velocity Yellow turns into Monterey Red right before your eyes!”

Back in Winter 2005 I was referred a Maryland couple Named David and Joanne by a Camaro customer of mine. David and Joanne made an appointment to come meet me and order a Brand new Velocity Yellow 2006 Corvette Z51 convertible with 6spd manual transmission. They wanted to take delivery at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY. Parked right outside my office on the showroom floor was their exact order in Monterey Red. We completed our discussions on the Deal for the factory order…and then the following day I received a 9am call from David inquiring about the showroom Corvette in Monterey Red and if it was still available? I answered that it was and he said “not anymore, we will take it!” So they came in for delivery and I had driven to work in my brand new Victory Red 2006 Z51 Convt with red interior and stick shift. I had never seen these pictures of both cars from their delivery day until last week when David and Joanne sent them to me. That was our first meeting and since December 2005 they have bought approximately a Dozen cars and trucks from me including a few Corvettes. They have moved to Delaware a decade ago but that doesn’t stop them from reaching out for their automotive needs. Two of the nicest folks, they even joined me out at Spring Mountain July 2018 for the Corvette Driving school …geez, 6 years ago already!

~2 truckloads of new Corvettes arrived Tuesday, 5 total truckloads since Friday. Always fun to watch them get unloaded and checked in even after all these decades of selling Corvettes.

~ 21 new sold order Corvettes arrived today so I thought I’d do a video scan of my sold order lot after they were unwrapped. Too bad it’s a gloomy day as the colors would look brilliant in the Sunshine. Spring will be here soon and all these Corvette dreams will be in their owners hands before daylight savings starts in a couple of weeks (March 10th 2am). Clocks moving forward along with all these Sports cars, America’s finest for the world to see!

~ Peter G. of Virginia stopped by today with a super cool gift. He had taken a picture of me when he joined me in Pahrump, Nevada for the Ron Fellows Spring Mountain “Corvette Furman “owners school October 2021. He did some of his magic on his computer with the graphics and brought me this poster sized print and very kind note. I thought I would share as it’s “cooler than the other side of the pillow!”

~ J&C F. of Henderson, Nevada factory ordered their new Red Mist 2024 Corvette Convertible with Sky cool gray interior and I had it drop shipped for courtesy delivery in Phoenix, AZ. Last week they took a quick flight to Phoenix and drove their world class sports car back to their Nevada home.

~Johnny B. of Frostproof, Florida has bought a few Corvettes from me and we have a mutual friend and my Corvette customer, Steve to thank for that. Johnny ordered a Red Mist 2024 Corvette Convertible with Red/ Black interior. The 20 spoke midnight gray forged wheels with red stripe are very striking with this entire combo. Paperwork completed via Fed Ex and Plycar Trucking will handle the enclosed trailer from Maryland to Florida over the next few days.
