Corvette Delivery Dispatch with National Corvette Seller Mike Furman for Feb 18th

Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvettes to his customers who come from all across the country to work with the nation’s top individual Corvette seller.

We are back with another fun delivery post from Mike, with this week’s spotlight is focused on several courtesy and R8C Museum deliveries. Mike makes it easy for long distance customers to take delivery of their new Corvettes as you can see these customers did this week. Check out the equipment lists and those happy faces! Mike has also assembled a fantastic collection of vintage and throwback photos for your scrolling pleasure. Be careful to stretch those digits first before attempting and then when you get to the bottom, let us know your favorite photos in the comments section.

~Corvette event season will be here before you know it. Below are some of the dates and pictured are a few show flyers for a few of the events I plan on attending with my Riptide Blue 2024 Corvette Z06 Convertible vin 00001…make sure you check out my special guest riding shotgun this year!

• April 23-26- Corvette Bash Corvette Museum Bowling Green, KY
• June 1-4 ~ Corvette Eray training on Bowling Green Racetrack KY
• June 22nd Criswell Corvette Show put on by the Gaithersburg, MD Corvette Club.
• July 20th Vettes for Vets Corvette Show Haymarket, VA.
• August 20-24 Carlisle, PA Corvettes at Carlisle.

~This info has been around for decades but it’s always good to share the history behind some iconic specially built one off Corvettes.

“In August of 1955 GM styling created an exclusive Corvette for Prince Bertil of Sweden, who reportedly placed his order direct with Harlow Curtice, GM President. All modifications, except for leather trim and padding, were confined to the exterior. Visible in the frontal view are an entirely new, larger grille assembly with flat black screen instead of teeth and the replacement of the front emblem by a large “V”. Shown on the rear end are relocated, bigger exhaust outlets and moving of the gas cap to a position on top of the deck lid. What especially tickled Chevrolet and GM brass and stylists was the fact that the prince bypassed European models.”

~St. Louis saw the assembly of numerous Corvettes. The paint booth, considered basic by today’s standards, showcased ’58 Corvettes awaiting several coats of lacquer on July 11, 1958. The heat in the plant that day must have been intense.

~Today’s email came from Mark, a boat dealer in France. Mark is a Corvette enthusiast and has had Ron Fellows sign his ZR1 at the Lemans race at the Corvette corral in 2012/2014. Mark included in his email the following pictures that I am sharing of his collection. In his own words…

I always had à Corvette , actually I am having 3, à C5 2021 prepared at 450 HP, à C6 ZR 1 – 2009, prepared to 720 HP, and à C7 Grand Sport 2016 prepared to 450 HP – to prove what I am saying, I’ll sent to you some pictures (even of my Privat garage, where I have 2-elevators.) I sponsored the French Corvette C6.R (Luc Alphon) for Le Mans and I’ll send you à picture of Ron Fellows with me who signed up twice my ZR1 in Le Mans – corvette coral (2012 et 2014). I hope you can visualize the pictures, and I hope that I have presented me to you in à right way.”

~C8 Corvette Deliveries for the Week

~Bryan D. of Watsonville, California factory ordered from me his new Riptide Blue metallic 2024 Corvette Z51 coupe. I had it drop shipped for courtesy delivery to his local Chevrolet dealership in Salinas, CA. Equipment: 3LT, CF full length stripes, 15 spoke bright polished aluminum wheels and much more. This is Bryan’s 6th Corvette.

~Craig and Jen P. of White House, Tennessee ordered their 2nd Corvette from me and today they took delivery at the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY and the Museum staff rolled out the Red Carpet. Check out their new Hypersonic Gray metallic 2024 Corvette Convertible with Sky Cool Gray seats. Equipment: 1LT, body color accents, chrome badges, yellow calipers, low spoiler, yellow Seat belts and more.

~Richard M. of Edmond, Oklahoma has now ordered and taken delivery of his 4th Corvette from me! (17 GS, 17 Z06, 21 C8 and todays 24C8) Richard has owned 12 Corvettes so he is a true enthusiast since the mid 70’s. I had his new Red Mist metallic Tintcoat 2024 Corvette Z51 Convertible drop shipped for courtesy delivery at his local Chevrolet dealership in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Equipment: 2LT, Natural/black two tone interior, GT2 buckets, front lift, magnetic ride, edge red calipers and much more. Richard wrote some very kind words on my GM survey.

~Jack and Charlotte F. of Henderson, Nevada received a special present as their new Red Mist metallic Tintcoat 2024 Corvette Convertible was built on Jacks birthday! I had his Corvette drop shipped for courtesy delivery at the Chevrolet dealer in Phoenix, AZ so yesterday they flew down and drove their new C8 Corvette home to Nevada. Equipment: 3LT, Sky cool gray interior, front lift, magnetic ride, edge red calipers, performance exhaust and much more.

~Travis and Kelly T. of Paducah, Kentucky had the red carpet rolled out today for him and his group as he took delivery of his factory ordered Red Mist metallic 2024 Corvette Z51 Convertible. It looks like fun was had by all! Equipment: 3LT, Natural interior, front lift, magnetic ride, edge red calipers, Z51 pkg and much more! Email from Travis and Kelly after delivery yesterday:

“What a day!! We had gorgeous weather, and the museum staff were top notch. The 1VM ACS splitter and Z06-style rockers really set this car off. Also thrilled that the FA5 Carbon Fiber was on constraint at the time- that pushed me to a 3LT, and the interior quality blew me away. Wow! Today was the culmination of a lifelong dream. The diecast I’m holding in one of the photos is a 1986 Corvette Indy concept car and was purchased by me in the late 90s when I first visited the Corvette Museum as a kid. I set a goal to own a Corvette during that trip. My wife and I were on the same page in terms of that goal when we married a little over ten years ago, and today that goal was accomplished. The process in buying from you was seamless- thank you for your professionalism and passion for the car. Look forward to meeting you in person someday! I’ve attached some photos. You’re welcome to use whatever you’d like for social media. I’ll be getting your five star review in the system soon!” The photos are now supplied to me by Fotofx, a company that has been working within the Museum for the past 10+ years and now they have pkgs available for a truly special experience to be captured digitally. I recommend their process the next time you take delivery at the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY!

~Sam and Michele H. of St Augustine, Florida factory ordered from me their new hypersonic gray metallic 2024 Corvette Z51 Convt with black interior. The paperwork/ payment process has been completed and today Plycar trucking will load up for the enclosed trailer ride to their Florida home. Equipment: 2LT, GT2 buckets, gloss black wheels, Corvette racing themed graphics and much more.

~”Mac” M. of Summerville, South Carolina was referred to me and he factory ordered a new Black 2024 Corvette Z51 Convertible with two tone Red/Black interior. Paperwork/payment process was completed last week when he came by Criswell as he had some work in the area. Today Plycar Trucking will load it up for the trip down Rte 95 to his South Carolina home. Equipment: 2LT, GT2 buckets, front lift, magnetic ride, bright red calipers and much more.
