As if we didn’t already have enough reasons to hate illegal street takeovers, just watch as these upstanding members of society in Los Angeles purposely throw gas on a convertible C7 Corvette and cheering as it burns to the ground.

The video comes from an Instagram account named @shotbycompton which is known for its frequent postings of street takeovers, but we’ll show you the two clips as they were uploaded to Twitter. A total of three videos were uploaded to the account on Sunday so we are assuming this to be a recent event.

As for the kid pouring gas on the fire, ever hear of facial recognition? Not like anything is going to happen to him, but just once we’d like to witness some “frontier justice” meted out when someone messes with our cars. The Corvette may have been stolen according to the posts, but we’ll probably never know the real story behind this.

  9. As needless as this was, perhaps, we all can take solace in that, our cars are mass produced and relatively cheap to insure, and no was hurt? After all “Kids will be kids”.
