The cause of a fire that engulfed a black C5 Corvette coupe in Canada over the weekend remains a mystery.
Fortunately, the driver was able to escape from the Corvette before heavy orange flames consumed the composite body of the car as thick black smoke soared into the air. Authorities say no one was injured in the incident.
The fire was captured on camera on a busy Cambridge street in the Ontario, Canada city of Galt about 11 a.m. Saturday.
A single fire truck answered the call, and it was not immediately reported how badly the Corvette was ultimately damaged once the flames were extinguished. Based on the photos from the scene, however, it seems likely the car was a total loss.

Always amazes me how much some people will spend on a car, but they’re too cheap to buy a $30 fire extinguisher.
No mystery, the Corvette identifies as a non binary Tesla.
