This partially restored 1960 Corvette roadster is ready for a new owner to push it across the finish line.
From a glance at the current eBay listing, it appears that they won’t have very far to push.
The seller says he has already made several modern upgrades to the car in an effort to make it more drivable, including a different induction system for the original 283 Dual-Quad V8 engine, a four-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and power disc brakes.
Personally, if we were in the market, we’d welcome these changes if they make the experience of driving a 65-year-old car more palatable.
In case the new owner isn’t so forgiving, however, the seller notes that the rebuilt dual quad carburetors with correct Corvette script valve covers (newly chromed) are ready to be installed. While the car’s in the shop for that work, it might be a good time to install a new radiator and tune up the engine to get it truly road trip worthy.
The freshly primered fiberglass body appears to be just about ready for a new paint job, and the soft top brackets and pie plates are in place, with the bows said to be available for an additional $1,500.
The car already has all new chrome, too: bumpers, cove moldings, hubcaps, and center console plate.
The new owner, meanwhile, won’t have much more work to do on the red and white interior, with the door panels, dash, and carpet already in nice condition and a set of new reproduction seat covers just waiting to be installed.
