Since going midengined for the 2020 model year, America’s Favorite Sports Car has been absolutely itching for an exotic green paint option. That need hit a fever pitch with the introduction of the high-revving Z06 last year, but outside of an ill-fated one-off foray into NFTs, Chevrolet has left its eager fanbase out in the cold.

Well, if you’re one of the thousands of people wasting away in the middle of the Corvette/Vibrant Green Venn Diagram, of all places, a Mitsubishi dealership in New Jersey might have your life raft sitting in their relatively impressive ‘Vette inventory. Get this: someone out there took delivery of a White Pearl 70th Anniversary Z with an MSRP of $135K, dropped over $10,000 on paint protection, amassed a measly 1,514 miles, and then decided to part ways with one of the greatest cars ever produced by the Stars and Stripes.

Along with the unique 70th Anniversary 3LZ interior and record-setting 670-HP flat-plane V8, the previously mentioned $10k paintwork included more than just a layer of protective film. This car’s new calling card, and the reason for its inclusion here, is sitting on top of the film. 2023 Z06 number 888 now wears a wrap that does an excellent simulation of some of the best colors in the supercar realm: McLaren’s metallic Napier Green and Lamborghini Verde Ithaca, and this treatment makes the already flashy Chevy completely pop off of the page! The one downside that we can see is the unfortunate side effect of removed front and rear badging, but that seems like an easy thing to remedy.

Interested parties can take this green machine off J&S Mitsubishi’s hands for the reasonable sum of $164,995, but we CorvetteBloggers are more interested in this unit as a market study. What do you think, Corvette Nation? Should Chevrolet give a wild shade like this the “green” light for production? Chime in with your thoughts below.

  1. I like the green (wish GM would come out with less boring colors for the Vette like this one), but why wrap a 70th Anniversary special edition car? Isn’t it worth more to keep it with the factory White Pearl?

  2. I never understood getting boring white for a sports car, but this much flash lands on the opposite end of the spectrum as far as I’m concerned. I’ll stick to my rapid blue, which lands somewhere in the middle. But hey, to each their own.

  3. Green Pearl Metallic just like this is definitely the way to go on the C8. Chevrolet needs to go for it!

  4. I agree white is rather boring (But looks better on the C7 and C8 than any prior color), but why pay extra for the 70th special edition white pearl and then cover it up. Makes no sense to me.
Agree with rtbasey that they need a nice purple too – the Black Rose on the C7 was much too dark. It’s a sports car – why come out with colors that belong on sedans and SUVs?

  5. I agree, bright colors belong on super cars and the newest colors for 2024 are terrible. Sage Green (I’ll call it) terrible. GM, bring on some color!
