Corvette Values: 2026 Corvette ZR1 Stars & Steel Edition Sells for $561,000 at Mecum Harrisburg

Did you see what happened at Mecum’s Harrisburg Auction on Saturday? This Black 2026 Corvette ZR1 Stars & Steel Edition Convertible hit the auction block and then completely shattered the record price for a ZR1 Convertible at auction!

This Black ZR1 Convertible is one of just 25 ZR1s to be built with the patriotic Stars & Steel collection livery that was created to celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary. But the rarity gets even better as its only one of three 2026 ZR1 Stars & Steel Corvettes to have the Carbon Aero package featuring the huge visible carbon fiber high wing. Inside the cabin, it shows the build sequence with this car being number 249 of 250 produced.

Once the Black ZR1 hit the red-carpeted auction block at Mecum Harrisburg, it was off to the races in what would be one of the longer car auctions we’ve seen in quite some time. The bids came in fast and once it hit $340,000 the Reserve Price was lifted. But the bidders weren’t done and soon the car surpassed $375,000 and then $400,000 as the bids on the ZR1 continued to rise in $5,000 increments. The auctioneer was then able to get them to commit to $10,000 increments as the price passed $450K and then pauses at $480,000. The auctioneer suggested a bid of $500,000 to knock out his opponent and one of the combatants did just that. But the other guy still wasn’t done and with his last bid he took the win and the car with a hammer price at $510,000.

With sales commission added, the total selling price was $561,000.

Previously, Mecum sold a Quail Silver Corvette ZR1X Convertible in Indy for an astonishing $605,000, setting a benchmark price for Chevrolet’s ultimate C8 Corvette model. Now, we can add this Black ZR1 Stars & Steel Convertible to list to top-selling Corvettes with its selling price of $561,000. That price shattered the previous high for a C8 Corvette ZR1 at a Mecum auction which was set back at the Houston 2026 sale when a Black ZR1 Coupe sold for $330,000.
