Chevrolet is accepting orders for what is now the sixth ordering cycle of the 2027 model year. Ordering opened yesterday and runs through Tuesday, and with that comes the latest list of constraints from Chevrolet as well.
While this list of constraints only affects those orders going in this week, the number of constraints affecting Corvette’s carbon fiber aero is ongoing so if your order is going to be placed in a few weeks or even a month from now, you will probably be seeing the same level of options that are unavailable to order so make your plans accordingly.
This is also the third ordering cycle for the new Grand Sport X and there is still no visual configurator available from Chevrolet.com yet. We find that to be unacceptable at this point for customers to be placing their orders without that support, but that’s par for the course from the automaker these days.
As for this week’s ordering constraints, we are seeing some model-level ordering constraints in addition to options. That includes the 1LT Stingray of which there are just 96 to order nationwide. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Chevrolet is limiting the ZR1 and ZR1X Coupes to 50% AND every ZR1/ZR1X must be ordered with the TOM High Wing Spoiler. And finally, as we have seen on every constraint list for the 2027 model year, the Engine Appearance Package (B6P) is not available for Stingray, Grand Sport, Grand Sport X, and Z06 Coupes, making it only available for ZR1/ZR1X.
Here’s the list of constraints for this order cycle:
Stingray
• 1LT Package 25% To Be Determined
• B6P Coupe Engine Appearance Package 0%
Grand Sport
• CVZ & T0F Rockers and Spoiler, Carbon Fiber, Painted 5%
• CFZ w/o T0F Rockers and Spoiler, Carbon Fiber, Painted 0%
• CFV Rockers, Carbon Fiber, Exposed 2%
• B6P Coupe Engine Appearance Package 0%
Grand Sport X
• CFZ Spoiler, Carbon Fiber, Painted 15%
• CFV Spoiler, Carbon Fiber, Exposed 15%
• B6P Coupe Engine Appearance Package 0%
ZO6
• CFZ & T0F Spoiler, Carbon Fiber, Painted 15%
• CFV & T0G Spoiler, Carbon Fiber, Exposed 20%
• CFZ w/o T0F Rockers, Carbon Fiber, Painted 4%
• CFV w/o T0G Rockers, Carbon Fiber, Exposed 18%
• B6P Coupe Engine Appearance Package 0%
ZR1
• Without TOM High Wing Spoiler, Exposed 0%
• J6F Calipers, Torch Red 10%
• J6N Calipers, Edge Red 0%
• 1YR07 Coupe only 50%
ZR1X
• Without TOM High Wing Spoiler, Carbon Fiber, Exposed 0%
• J6F Calipers, Torch Red 10%
• J6N Calipers, Edge Red 0%
• 1YS07 Coupe only 50%
The available quantities/percentages we are seeing this go around are much smaller than what we had two weeks ago, and it’s still shocking to hear that Chevrolet is requiring the high wing aero on the ZR1 and ZR1X when some customers don’t want it. You would think that Chevrolet would want more of those orders without aero but that’s not the case.
