[VIDEO] Yahoo Finance Goes to the Corvette Assembly Plant to See the First 2024 E-Ray on the Assembly Line

Yahoo Finance Senior Reporter Pras Subramanian has a rare treat for Corvette enthusiasts today as he visits the Corvette Assembly Plant to capture the first retail 2024 Corvette E-Ray on the assembly line. The first Corvette E-Ray was purchased by Chevrolet dealer and NASCAR team owner Rick Hendrick for $1.15 million with the proceeds going to charity.

It appears that Mr. H’s streak of outfitting his VIN 001 cars remains intact as we see the first E-Ray is Black with a dipped Adrenaline Red interior.

Chevrolet (GM) is taking a bold step into the future with the debut of its Corvette E-Ray, the first-ever hybrid Corvette produced in its Bowling Green, Kentucky factory.

Among the E-Ray’s most prominent features include front-wheel drive powered by an electric motor, in addition to the traditional V8 engine in the rear, and boasting over 650 horsepower capable of reaching 0-to-60 miles per hour in 2.5 seconds.

Priced around $105,000, the E-Ray aims to offer Corvette enthusiasts a thrilling hybrid option. Yahoo Finance Senior Reporter Pras Subramanian is along for the ride as he test-drives the E-Ray and breaks down its specs.
