Good thing Corvette Mike is here with three more chances to fill up that empty space in your garage. Heck, even if you don’t have space, why not still pick up a new-to-you Corvette?

The veteran team at Corvette Mike has been buying, selling, and consigning Corvettes for over 40 years. Over that timeframe, they’ve helped countless enthusiasts find that special Corvette of their dreams. Whether you’re looking for a meticulously restored C1 or a factory fresh C8 Stingray, Corvette Mike likely has what you’re looking for. Check them out online or give them a call at 714-630-0700.

July’s spotlight features three generations of Corvette lineage. All three cars are among the most desirable Corvettes on the market today. Let’s take a closer look.

1965 Goldwood Yellow on Black 327/365hp Convertible

The 1965 Corvette was one marked by transition as it was the final year for fuel injected Corvettes until their return in 1982, but it was the beginning of the big block era with the March 1965 arrival of the 396/425 V8 engine. Sandwiched in between these legendary powerplants were four choices of carbureted 327s. Starting with the base 250-hp motor, or buyers could select the optional L75 300-hp, the L79 350-hp, or the L76 365-hp V8 engines. The optional 327s were surprisingly affordable with the L75 300-hp V8 costing just $53.80 more while the 327/365 V8 went for $129.15. Considering that the Fuelie 327 motor would give you 10 more horsepower at a cost of $538, these non-fuelie small block motors offered a lot of bang for the buck.

Corvette Mike is offering this Goldwood Yellow 1965 Corvette Convertible which benefited from that freedom of choice, as it’s equipped with the L76 365-hp motor, a four-speed manual transmission, and the options include power brakes, knock-off aluminum wheels, tinted glass, AM/FM radio, and the 3.55 Posi-Traction rear end. Inside the Sting Ray Convertible is a Black interior, teakwood steering wheel, black floor mats, and power windows.

The history of the car is no mystery either, as Corvette Mike originally sold the ’65 Convertible to a close friend over 30 years ago and it has remained in Southern California ever since. During that time, the car was frame-up restored and has been beautifully maintained over those three decades of ownership. It looks just as great today as it did back when it was new, and Corvette Mike says it runs and drives just as good as it looks!

As for some build numbers, the L76 365-hp V8 was installed in 5,011 Corvettes for the model year, while the Goldwood Yellow was the second rarest color for the ’65 model year with just 1,275 produced. There is also some important documentation with the car as the 1965 Corvette also has its original Protect-O-Plate and service receipts that go all the way back to 1965!

If you’re looking for a classic midyear convertible that is turn-key and ready go, this 1965 Goldwood Yellow Corvette Convertible is awaiting your test drive.

2019 Admiral Blue on Red Grand Sport Coupe

2019 Admiral Blue on Red Grand Sport Coupe

2019 was the farewell year for the 7th generation Corvette. While all the chatter revolved around the mighty ZR1, the Grand Sport model remained to fill the gap between Stingray and Z06. The Grand sport was a great “tweener” featuring the Z06’s wide body architecture and the Stingray’s proven LT1 drivetrain. 34,822 Corvettes were born in 2019. Of those, just 9,496 (27%) were Grand Sport coupes.

This 2019 Grand Sport is the perfect salute to America. Finished in the patriotic color scheme of Admiral Blue exterior, Torch Red interior, and a complementary full length white stripe, it’s an instant classic. The car is well equipped with the 2LT package, 7-speed manual transmission, and the Grand Sport Heritage package. Even better is the fact that it’s got less than 4,000 on the odometer! Just check out the photos on the Corvette Mike website and you’ll find a Corvette that presents in nearly new condition.
