The National Corvette Museum started doing some maintenance work on its iconic Skydome in early May and yesterday they posted a new photo showing how the work is progressing. The work includes resealing the Skydome and then returning it back to the original gold.
From the previous update, we noted how the the Skydome’s exterior was covered in a gray primer and on 5/16 we see it completely covered in white, and it sort of reminds us of Disney World’s Space Mountain. The last update shows the individual panel frames being coated again.

The original portion of the Museum which included the Skydome turns 30 years old in 2024. To celebrate, the NCM will be hosting its the 7th National Corvette Caravan to the NCM in August 2024.
