Law enforcement officers in Mississippi are asking the public to be on the lookout for a stolen C7 Corvette Stingray.
The Torch Red 2016 Corvette coupe with black wheels was stolen overnight Friday from a home in the Highlands Subdivision off U.S. 11 South near Ellisville, north of Hattiesburg.
A Mississippi NASCAR #3 tag – P413 – was on the car.
If you have information about the stolen Corvette, call the Jones County Sheriff’s Department at 601-425-3147 or Jones County Crime Stoppers at 601-428-STOP (7867).

I thought late model Vettes were nearly impossible to steal??
Apparently, It is quite easy for thieves to steal your Corvette.
What I have read is that when you approach your Corvette and use the fob to
unlock it, anyone in the area can scan that code, and use it later
when the car is unattended.
It has OnStar. OnStar should be able to find it and disable it.
