Many Corvette enthusiasts have had their eye on a 1978 Pace Car ever since the story hit back in the day that Chevy was planning a special model to celebrate the car’s 25th anniversary.
It seems there are always a few of these cars on the market at any given time, but today we found one that’s quite a bit more special than some of the other 6,502 Pace Cars built at the St. Louis factory.
Located in Hebron, Connecticut, this black over silver Pace Car is one of only 200 equipped with the higher-rated L82 350 V8 engine and the four-speed manual transmission.
It’s being offered on Craigslist for $29,900 or best offer.
The seller doesn’t provide a lot of information, and the photos aren’t the best quality.
But he maintains that this Pace Car has always been stored inside, is all original, has never been hit, and has just 28,000 miles on the odometer.
“With a good detailing,” he promises, “this car will be show quality.”
While it’s hard to tell the quality of the paint, it does look OK in the photos. The silver interior also appears to be in nice condition, too.
Would you park this historic Corvette in your garage?
