[ACCIDENT] C4 Corvette Clips an SUV Which Overturns and Crashes into a Car Lot

The driver of a black C4 Corvette coupe accidentally performed a “pit maneuver” on an SUV, causing it to overturn on a Missouri road Sunday night.

Joplin Police say the Corvette driver lost control of his car as he headed north about 7:30 p.m. on North Rangeline, clipping the rear end of a white SUV and causing it to crash into a Kia for sale on the lot at All-N Motorsports and winding up on its side in the southbound lane. A second vehicle in the car lot also suffered minor damage.

Fortunately, both drivers escaped the crash without injuries, refusing medical care at the scene.

The Corvette suffered extensive damage to the front end, while the top of the SUV was crushed and the windshield partially ejected.

Police are investigating the possibility of a third vehicle that did not hit any other car but may have been involved in the Corvette losing control, according to KOAM TV reports.

Joplin Fire Dept, Joplin Police and METS ambulance responded to the incident, with mutual aid provided by Webb City Police and Webb City Fire.
