It’s on to the finals for the Chevrolet Corvette!

Voting is now open to determine the overall winner of the first-ever Coolest Thing Made in Kentucky Tournament presented by Kentucky Farm Bureau Insurance.

And it’s no surprise that our favorite car is a finalist after dispensing with first-round foe Post-Its by 3M, second-round opponent Old Folks Country Sausage by Parnells, and semi-final challenger Big Ass Fans by Powerfoil X4, is it?

Sponsored by the Kentucky Association of Manufacturers, the fun contest closes on April 23.

In the finals, the legendary Corvette sports car will be squaring off against another American icon, the J.M. Smucker Company’s Jif Peanut Butter. According to the contest website:

As the number-one peanut butter brand on the market, Jif Peanut Butter is smooth, creamy, and made with that fresh-roasted peanut taste consumers love. There is no peanut butter like Jif and we are proud to produce it right here at our Lexington, KY manufacturing facility.

Meanwhile, the site says:

General Motors Bowling Green Assembly Plant has been the exclusive manufacturing home to the Chevrolet Corvette since 1981. Over 1,200 people bring this iconic product to life by assembling the world-renowned car from start to finish at the facility. The current mid-engine car competes on a global stage, with left-hand and right-hand models varying from the Stingray and Z06 to the first electrified E-Ray…all of which are put together in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

You can show your support for the Corvette by going online through Sunday to vote at www.coolestthingky.com.
