We’re at the Michelin NCM Bash this weekend and one of the reasons we like coming here is because it’s target rich environment when it comes to learning about the new model year Corvette.

While the focus over the last couple of years has been on Corvette’s high performance models, the team does continue to offer options for the Corvette Stingray. It’s somewhat mind-blowing that the first C8s are now going into its 6th year of production once the model year starts.

So for you Corvette Stingray fans, you’re getting a new spoiler! When you order the Stingray with the Z51 Performance Package, it’s going to come with a new standard spoiler that looks a lot like the existing High Wing spoiler.

On display at the Michelin NCM Bash is the first VIN 001 Corvette Stingray for the 2025 model year. Wearing Torch Red, this car is equipped with the Z51 Performance Package and it’s wearing the new wing. The stanchions on the spoiler are finished in Carbon Flash and then the wing itself is shown in Body Color, but it can be ordered completely in Carbon Flash as well.

The previous Z51 spoiler sat closer to the deck lid, and it had the open spaces for the air to flow through on either side. Many opted to equip the car with either the High Wing spoiler while some went in the opposite direction and put the low-profile spoiler on the car. Those who think the High Wing is just a little too high will probably like this compromise.

  1. It’s about time. I would not have needed to put on my high wing if this was the case. For a performance car, the higher wing gives it status, but I’m sure many will disagree. I’m not [ha,ha] usually reaching the top end of this car where the spoiler reduces the top end speed.

  2. Let’s call it a mid-wing. Pillars are shorter than the high-wing. And frankly, the high-wing was too high as it is. Mid is how it should have come from the factory.

That said, it’s still about as generic of a wing as you can imagine. 4 post. At least the Z51 spoiler was unique and could be modified with wickers. High and mid wing look like the most generic universal-fit wings that you can get from an APC catalog.

  3. Thank You ! Finally a True Yellow in the new Competition Yellow !! Will definitely order this color when I preorder the 2025 Z06 HTC !!! Now just waiting for the Release Date of the 2025 Corvette

  4. Yes I agree the New Z51 Package Spoiler looks better than the High Wing, however unless you are driving at 125 mph on a regular basis, a wing is not required, just show.

  5. Not a fan of spoilers on street cars. I guess it makes them look racier, but they actually don’t put much down force on the rear at cornering speeds, but if it’s your thing………

  6. I wish they would just make it a two pillar design. Looks a lot better than the High Wing Spoiler.

  7. The High Wing is 100% functional and is recommended by GM for trackdays as are all of the spoilers and wickers offered EXCEPT the small base model on the 1LT.
