The new Corvette Z06 has set the automotive world on fire.

But before the first customer even took delivery, Chevy was hard at work behind the scenes, creating an innovative marketing campaign for its new mid-engine superstar.

Now that campaign – “Putting the World on Notice” – is competing for a Webby award for Advertising, Media & PR – Best Launch.

You can help your favorite sports car capture another award, and your vote is sorely needed as the Z06 campaign is currently in third place with 15 percent of the vote, well behind two other campaigns that have pulled 32 and 26 percent of the ballots.

The race is entering the home stretch, and not much time remains for the Z06 to roar into the lead, as voting comes to an end on Thursday, April 20.

In a video outlining the campaign, Chevy says its challenge with the campaign was to put the world on notice, change opinions, and position Z06 as a symbol of status, luxury, and power.

The company responded with a fully integrated campaign that included a 30-minute film about its 670-horsepower monster, while also building hype with months of pre-reveal content, influencer activations, and media engagements, culminating with the first Corvette commercial in 10 years seen by an estimated 9 million people during the World Series.

Chevy says its 360-degree campaign worked, with pre-reveal content pulling 48 million social impressions and 580 digital stories reaching another 8 million. On Reveal Day, the company saw an 800 percent increase in social conversation and reached an estimated 8 million from 460 digital stories and the #4 top trending spot on YouTube.
