Lingenfelter's Magnuson TVS2650 Supercharger Boosts the C8 Corvette Stingray to 700 Horsepower and 675 TQ

Lingenfelter Performance Engineering is previewing a new Lingenfelter Magnuson supercharger upgrade for the C8 Corvette Stingray during the 2022 Detroit Auto Show.

The system utilizes Magnuson’s TVS2650 DI inter-cooled supercharger with Lingenfelter’s ported LT5 95 mm throttle body and the proprietary Lingenfelter XCT Heat Exchanger System for maintaining low intake air temperatures for maximum power and reliability.

The supercharger upgrade will be available for the C8 Stingray Coupe beginning October 1st, 2022 and Convertible models will get their version on January 1st, 2023. Pricing, warranty details, and the final performance numbers will then be released. The press release says the Lingenfelter Magnuson C8 Corvette Supercharger System produces 700 horsepower and 675 lb-ft of torque, without any compromise to the factory systems and drivability, while also having very little impact on the Stingray’s fuel economy.

One of the two photos released of the supercharger system appears to show that the HTC version will reside under a see-thru panel so you’ll be able to show off the top of it, which has Lingenfelter & Magnuson badges affixed:

Lingenfelter also says this on their website about how their system connects to the factory ECM and with more details in the video below:

At the heart of this supercharger system is the advanced programmable Lingenfelter Performance Engineering C8 Corvette System Control Module with flash-capable circuitry. This module generates an algorithm managing map or boost pressure, mass airflow, ignition timing and throttle position in conjunction with the factory controls. This allows the factory ECM to properly manage air fuel ratios using signals from the factory wide bands stage.

That video ended with their development C8 Stingray on the dyno, so we’ll also be looking forward to seeing that chart. While a supercharged C8 Stingray is no replacement for the 670-hp Z06, it’s nice to see that Corvette Stingray owners will soon have additional options for increasing power backed by a great company like Lingenfelter.

  1. This will make an interesting future for the E-Ray. It will start “looking” like a ZR1 maybe.

  2. The new 700 HP C8 package is directly calibrated through the car’s factory ECM and does not require any supplemental piggyback devices. This creates seamless nitration and excellent performance. The images showing the Lingenfelter System Control Box are old photos, the box is no longer needed.
