Our understanding of the 2023 Corvette Z06 and all it entails grows stronger every day, and today we got this interesting take thanks to these pics shared to the Corvette Forum.

We are so used to seeing the highly-optioned CFTs with the carbon fiber wheels and the Z07 performance package, so it’s somewhat refreshing to see this base model Z06 Coupe here, which is wearing Elkhart Lake Blue and the base (SOE) Titanium Satin wheels. As we look closer, we are wondering if this is the base 1LZ model as we can also see the Level 1 GT1 seats in the car. (GT1 seats are also available on the 2LZ trim package as well.)

Going back to those wheels though, we think the Z06’s spider-design forged aluminum wheels are one of the better designs we’ve seen for the base wheels, and with four regular design options and two LPO designs available, there should be a set of Spider wheels perfect for your build.

Some other good news from Chevy is that in addition to this base wheel from which there is no extra charge, you can upgrade from the Titanium Satin wheels to the Black Spider wheels or the Satin Graphite Spider wheels for just $495 per set, while the Machined-faced Spider wheels can be added to your Z06 for an additional $1,495.

Seeing these wheels on the Elhart Lake Blue Z06, they are a bit brighter than expected, and they sort of remind us of the Competition Gray wheels that were on the 2009 Competition Sport Special Edition.

The guy who took the first pic and posted it to Facebook was requested to take more, so he followed up with these other shots that show the wheels very nicely. The engineer driving the Corvette was apparently visiting family, and the guy taking the photos lives three doors down.

What are your thoughts on this low-optioned 2023 Corvette Z06? Let us know in the comments below.

  1. I’m sorry fellas, the color, the wheels and the 1LT are on constraint. You can only get yellow, with black wheels in 3LT, no Z07, no carbon and no wing but only if you order on Thursdays otherwise the plant is shut down for a strike and supplier issues. Also, your place in line has been cancelled and your deposit will be returned by the dealer because he’s decided to claim all of the available allocations for himself.

  2. The no cost wheels look fine. Have them done in any custom color for probably less than the cost of the black wheels with the read stripe ($3100 more for the stripe alone) or the crumby bronze wheels that are pretty dull and way overpriced at $3795. How about some nice Aerolarri wheels. I would probably go for the machine face Spider at $1500 . I had considered a red car with gold wheels but the bronze certainly does not do it. Would need something done aftermarket.

  3. That’s how I want mine. Base with Z51, that’s all I need. I would kill for a 6 speed manual, but I understand..

  4. Now if Ciccoa ever makes it up to my spot on their list 2963 that is the car i will be ordering. Base model Black the wheels look great and i will go with red calipers. I will also go for the build your own motor option. I really like the low wing.
