Corvette Delivery Dispatch with National Corvette Seller Mike Furman for Feb 13th


Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvettes to his customers who come from all across the country to work with the nation’s top individual Corvette seller.

It was another successful week of new Corvette deliveries as Mike’s customers were picking up their new 2022 Corvettes at both the Maryland Chevy dealership and through the NCM’s R8C Museum Delivery program. Mike also was visited by members of a Corvette Club and he shares some throwback Corvettes in general as well as some vintage pics from his days at Malcolm Konner Chevrolet. As always, Mike reads the comments so let us know your favorites for the week!

~I’ve had Corvette Clubs from as far away as Norway visit me (not in their Corvettes of course) and many others from across the USA…It’s always fun when a Corvette Club decides to take a Corvette cruise and ends up at Criswell Chevrolet of Gaithersburg, Maryland. Some folks of The Baltimore County Corvette Club stopped by yesterday and I signed posters for all most likely devaluing the paper. One hour drive to Criswell and then another 30 minutes to their restaurant destination in Northern Virginia. Sounds like a fun day to me! Great group of guys/gals! (Not pictured were the stragglers eying the Corvette launch pad)

~Another Corvette customer brought his son and the little guy was thrilled to get a Corvette poster and Father was happy to talk Corvettes. Successful visit for Father/Son team. Gotta start ‘em young!

~Every Saturday starts off at Criswell Chevrolet for me approx 6:45am so I can set up my deliveries but yesterdays sunrise was spectacular.

~How many of you know that the very first BORAT movie had a scene from that 2006 movie filmed at Criswell Chevrolet? Our sales rep Jim Sell did a tremendous job and we had no idea what this was about or where it was going. Jim passed away about 9 years ago and I think of him often.

~George W. of Lawton, Oklahoma has been a car collector dating back to his youth and Thursday he completed his very first Museum delivery for the 5th Corvette that he has owned. Glad I could be George’s sales rep for his last two Corvette purchases. His son Jeremy Welborn has owned close to 25 (last 3 from me) Corvettes and I guarantee you his Father was instrumental in his passion for Corvettes and the Corvette world. Jeremy had his sister fly in to surprise their Father at the Museum!! Check out quite the array of pictures of George’s latest and greatest, Red Mist 2022 Corvette Convertible with two tone Sky cool gray/black interior and the full length stripes in Sterling Silver. This is one Corvette that is a Car Show all on its own! Equipment list: front lift, 3LT pkg, CF instrument panel, edge red calipers, performance exhaust, low rear spoiler and much more! I called them on their way home to Oklahoma and George was thrilled with his choices on his new Corvette and the whole museum experience.

~Nicky H. of Huntsville, Tennessee made his Corvette Museum delivery on Thursday a family affair which is the best of the best as far I’m concerned. His wife and son joined him for the red carpet treatment as the Museum staff did a great job as always. Nicky ordered Hypersonic Gray 2022 Corvette Z51 coupe with two tone Sky cool gray/black interior. Equipment list: 2LT pkg, GT2 seats, Sterling silver full length dual stripes, body color accents, yellow calipers, black composite rockers, Z51, yellow seat belts and high wing spoiler.

~Joe and Jan T. of Sherrills Ford, North Carolina are neighbors with a couple that have known me since grade school and they are even Corvette customers of mine. Joe and Jan drove up this week and ate a great Seafood dinner and woke up and arrived at Criswell right as planned for their 9am appt. They signed/paid…then I went over the whole car with them. Plycar trucking pulled up as they pulled out as they wanted their very first Corvette to travel in an enclosed trailer from Criswell to their North Carolina home. To say they are thrilled with their new Amplify Orange 2022 Corvette Z51 Convt is an understatement. Equipment list: 2LT pkg, GT2 seats, front lift, magnetic select ride, Stingray R Appearance pkg, Z51, orange seat belts, CF high wing spoiler and much more! Super nice folks with their very first Corvette.

~Steve S. of Delray Beach, Florida factory ordered a Hypersonic Gray metallic 2022 Corvette Convt with the Sky cool gray/strike yellow interior and it really is stunning! We completed the paperwork via Fed Ex and he has a buddy picking it up today to transport south to Steve’s Florida home. His GM Survey words from Steve …“Flawless experience! Mike Furman is the best salesperson I have ever worked with…and that’s after 64 cars!” Equipment list: 3LT pkg, CF/edge yellow stinger stripe, CF painted Nacelles and roof, CF instrument cluster, magnetic ride, performance exhaust, trident black wheels, black composite rockers and CF high wing spoiler.

~Tom N. of Fargo, North Dakota had to scan the internet to find me and he placed his factory order for a Hypersonic Gray 2022 Corvette coupe with black interior. We completed the paperwork via Fed Ex and Plycar trucking is doing the enclosed shipping service.
Equipment list: 2LT pkg, GT2 buckets, magnetic select ride, bright red calipers, Stingray R appearance pkg, low rear spoiler and CF mirrors. ~Randy M. of Lascassas, Tennessee ordered his Hypersonic Gray metallic 2022 Corvette coupe from me and took delivery this past week at the Corvette Museum and the red carpet was rolled out for these two corvette owners. Check out the yellow calipers and yellow seat belts! I really like this combo as it pops! Two super nice folks must have had a great ride home from KY to TN!

  2. My favorite this week are the two silver ’63 coupes. For some reason it reminded me of the period in my young life when I was just starting to notice cars. I remember that one of the early popular TV shows was sponsored by Chevrolet. At the end of the show, while the show credits were rolling, all the Chevrolet models were shown driving down the highway. Including the Corvette coupe. I never read the credits of course, I was just waiting to see the Corvette!
    I think the show might have been My Three Sons. Those were the black and white days of television.

  3. My favorite is the front end pic of the mildly custom silver 73 with the blue stripe, high rise hood and mesh grilles. I wonder if the rear view photo right above it is the same car and the different lighting conditions make the silver paint look different shades.
