Late last month found us and nearly 10,000 other Corvette enthusiasts in Bowling Green for the National Corvette Museum’s 25th Anniversary Celebration.
As we love to check out the great vanity plates on every Corvette show we go to, finding creative vanity license plates during any show at the NCM is pretty easy pickings but with all those Corvettes there, it was just a matter pointing the camera and saying click.
There were some “GR8 PL8S” as our Detroit Bureau likes to say, so let’s check them out!
I find that most Corvette vanity license plates usually fall into one of two camps. There are those tags that describe or pay homage to the car while the second camp usually is about the owner, or even better, the owner’s state of mind! With so many plates in this image gallery, I think we’ve even categorized a third which would be a message for other drivers.
Some of our favorites this year are “HRD2CTCH”, “USA MADE’, and “A BLAST”. The Yellow Z06 Corvette photo featured at the top of the page with the “WRP SPD” vanity plate is for our friend John from the MidEngineCorvetteForum.com. He is now Corvetteless after trading in his car with Mike Furman at Criswell Chevrolet and has a 2020 Stingray on order as his replacement.
We’re sending a CorvetteBlogger Corvette Wave to all you Corvette owners with ingenious vanity plates. See your tag in our gallery? Give yourself a shout out in the comments below or post up your tag on our Twitter and Facebook.
