The countdown to Bloomington Gold stands at just under 5 months. Once again the show will be taking up residency at the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway. If you’re looking to have your car judged or just attend as a spectator, get ready because registration for this year’s show opens next Monday, February 1st.
Bloomington Gold 2016 will take place Thursday June 23 through Saturday June 25 as part of their new more travel friendly format. Once again the show will take over the entire IMS complex for the three day show including the tracks, garages, and even the pagoda.
Of course the marquee events of the 44th annual show include the Gold, Survivor, and Benchmark judging. Back once again will be the new Gold, Silver, and Bronze categories within the Survivor judging. Also returning are the GoldSchool seminars, Goldmarket vendors and aftermarket suppliers, and Goldmine Corvettes for sale.
The GoldTour will stage on the famous speedway and take a lap around the track before leaving on for the jaunt through the country. The GoldAutocross will be held onsite as well all 3 days. In addition, attendees will be able to ride along at speed in an IndyCar or drive their own cars on the infield road course. Registration for GoldLaps is already open so click here to sign up.
This year the Gold Collection celebrates its second year by saluting the 1966 Corvette. Nearby, Paul Koerner will be hosting a series Corvette seminars Thursday and Friday.
Last year’s debut at Indy was easily the best Bloomington show in years even with all of the rain. There’s no doubt that this year’s show will be even better so be at the ready come Monday morning, February 1st.
Bloomington Gold 2016 will take place June 23-25 at the world famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indianapolis, Indiana. Three-day weekend passes can be had for $60 in advance.
