We took some time during last weekend’s Bloomington Gold at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to assemble our latest installment of Corvette vanity plates. Bloomington this year provided a bumper crop of cool plates to include our gallery. From the GoldMine to the Certification field we had plenty of plates to enjoy.
While wandering the sprawling IMS infield we saw plates from far and wide. As you’d expect Midwestern plates were most prominent. Cars from Illinois, Nebraska, Iowa, and Minnesota seemed most prevalent. We even saw plates from as far away as New York, Oregon, and even Ontario, Canada.
Some of our favorite tags we discovered over the weekend included “OOH WEE” on a Supersonic Blue C6 Grand Sport, “NEVENUF” on a nicely modded C5, and “5 T 8” on a fantastic 1958 roadster undergoing Certification judging. Some plates paid homage to their owners like “KENS C7” while others like “FASRGRL” described the car’s driver. Others simply showed off what was under the hood like “RPO L88” and “67 390HP”.
We all know that Corvette owners are the best when it comes to creative vanity plates. Our gallery of vanity plates from Bloomington Gold below reiterates that point yet again. Like always, if you have a cool plate on your Corvette tell us about it in the Comments below, post it on our Facebook page or Tweet us at @CorvetteBlogger and show us what you’ve got. If you see your plate in our gallery be sure to give yourself a shout out as well.
