Selling a C4 Corvette can be difficult but it doesn’t have to be if you subscribe to our proven method of selling unwanted Corvettes on Craigslist. This somewhat controversial sales technique is guaranteed to get people talking about your Corvette (maybe even a blog post) and it might even make the telephone ring.
How does our selling technique work? I’m glad you asked!
First we need to gather the important info and options on your car, but don’t bother about going into too much detail as you’ll want something to tell the bottom-feeders on Craigslist when they call to ask your bottom dollar. Be very vague about your Corvette but find something to boast about that you can put in the headline, like this craigslist ad for a “1993 Corvette ‘Show Car’ ***** in Tampa:
In our example ad, the seller lists the year and describes the condition of the 23 year old car as “new”. Other helpful information says the car runs on gas, has a clean title and it’s an automatic. Finally, you will want a very short description that sums it all up. Our 1993 Corvette here is described as a “show car” that has won “Best in Show” 20 times!
Once you have the description done, you will need to add photos of your Corvette and this is where our proven sales method comes into play.
Find some semi-attractive girls and ask them to wear something sexy and pose with your Corvette. Add a couple of firearms to the the mix and you’re good to go. Now, regarding the firearms, you’ll get extra points for adding an AR rifle, especially when selling American muscle. The girls in our example ad are holding an AK so in this case it is sort of a wash.
Finally, add your photos to Craigslist and get ready to answer the phone as 14 year-olds call and ask where they can see the girls and guns.
Like all proven sales methods, we do have a couple of disclaimers that we practiced saying so fast that they are rendered undecipherable. What you need to know is that not all Corvettes are created equal and pricing of the car depends on the availability of sexy women and firearms as well as how professional your photographer friend’s signature looks on the images.
In the real world, we actually suggest talking up the car more by adding additional information and trying to answer questions that potential buyers may have, but hey that takes work and besides, what’s better than gun-waving Corvette chicks? You can this craigslist ad in the wild at tampa.craigslist.com.
