Dubai loves to put on a big show. Just witness the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa, that reaches an amazing 2,722 feet into the sky over there.
But buildings aren’t the only things that Dubai loves to show off.
The Dubai Civil Defense has just upgraded to the fluorescent yellow 2014 Corvette Stingray that’s shown in this photo. With all the decals and the bright paint, it’s definitely a one-of-a-kind look for Chevy’s seventh-generation sports car.
Now that the 2013 ALMS race season is in the history books (along with the ALMS series itself), attention is turning to the combined United Sports Car Racing Series which will kick off in January at the Rolex Daytona 24 hour race. Corvette Racing will be featuring the racing debut of the C7.R and thanks to our friends over at MotorAuthority.com, we may have a first look at the new racing livery the 7th generation race cars will be wearing.
Check out this great rendering of the 2014 Corvette Stingray from our friends at the Bondurant School of High Performance Driving. Bondurant orders their Corvettes by the truckload and they are telling us the new C7 Corvette Stingray will be available for students to drive at their Chandler, AZ facility sometime this fall.
Corvette Racing’s Oliver Gavin and Tommy Milner tweeted photos today of the new paint scheme that will be on the Corvette C6.Rs for the 2012 American Le Mans Series and the 24 Hours of Le Mans campaigns. The livery is an evolution from the previous two years but new is the large Jake graphic that appears just under the race car’s B-pillar.
Facebook user John Machaqueiro spotted Pratt & Miller’s trailers set up for the two day test at Sebring International Raceway that begins tomorrow. Parked next to it was the #4 Corvette C6.R showing off its new livery for the 2011 season. Once again, the team’s livery maintains the yellow and black paint scheme with the major change being the silver “barbed wire/throwing stars” look giving way to a silver stripe beginning as a point on the doors and then wrapping around the rear. Another new addition is the commemorative Chevrolet 100 Years logo on the hood.
