Pratt Miller Motorsports has offered up the first look at the new Corvette Z06 GT3 Pro racers in their traditional Yellow/Black racing liveries this week. The Z06 GT3.R will hit the track in public during the Roar Before the 24 in mid-January ahead of the Rolex 24 at Daytona.

The new Z06 GT3.R racers are much closer in appearance to the Z06 street car and both now have the matching “wishbone” trim around the side intakes. Both the Z06 street car and the GT3.R racer shared the 5.5L DOHC flat-plane crank V8 and the GT3.R uses the same aluminum chassis frame that’s built in Bowling Green.

Another change for the year is that Pratt Miller Motorsport’s parent company Oshkosh is now the primary sponsor, replacing SiriusXM that was prominently displayed on the previous C8.Rs.

Pratt Miller Motorsports shared the photos on their various social media platforms including Twitter(X) with the following message:

Introducing the 2024 Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller Motorsports Corvette Z06 GT3.R team cars!

We’re embarking on a thrilling new journey at Pratt Miller Motorsports, and we’re excited to share every step with you. Special shoutout to our parent company #OshkoshCorporation, Chevrolet and our incredible partners for their unwavering support. You empower us to excel in races and compete for championships.

While we’re eager to showcase our car in fancy studio shots, for now, our focus is entirely on dialing these machines in for the 2024 IMSA season.
See you in Daytona!

Now if we could just convince Chevy to bring back Corvette Racing Yellow for the street cars, all would be right in the world!

  1. Looking at the exterior of the GT3.R: I know I mentioned this to Chuck Valentini, and I’m pretty sure I mentioned it to Harlan Charles: Why not offer as an option the Torch Red OSRV mirrors? I’ve seen it done on several 2022 Stingray IMSA GTLM Editions. It looks good. Ok, sure, the Corvette order guide might want to restrict Torch Red OSRV’s to Black, White, Matrix, Silver, or Gray exterior cars, and might have the red OSRVs combined ONLY with J6F Bright Red calipers and 3F9 red seat belts with black interior. Yes, pretty restricted, but otherwise, there might be some crazy kaleidoscopically-colored Corvettes running around out there. And, this option would not cost GM any additional R&D money or sourcing — the Torch Red OSRV mirror assembly is already being made and shipped to Bowling Green. For GM, it’s a plug-and-play option. 2. Nice, the last group of C8R’s kicked ass at least when not going through their BS restrictions so these guys should leave them all crying and of course complaining. Bunky, WHY?? Nobody looks at the friggen mirrors.

  3. Awesome looking race cars! If they perform as good as they look & they will, they will win many races & championships. Good luck Chevy Corvette Racing!

  4. Nice, slightly different body than the Z06, but you could expect that. Looking at the decorations, I noticed “Jake” is not displayed. Gonna miss him.

  5. Lanky Turtle has some good video of them testing at Sebring yesterday. By the way “Jake” is on the diffuser.
