We’ve wondered if Chevrolet would ever add an electric motor to a Corvette to increase horsepower.

Well, someone already beat them to the punch. At the Battery Show 2015 in Novi, Mich., the Genovation GXE all-electric vehicle based on a C6 Corvette Z06 made its public debut.

This is no Volt, either.

[RECALL] Qatar Issues Recall for 2005-2007 Corvettes in the Middle East

We’re not sure what jurisdiction the Ministry of Economy and Commerce in Doha, Qatar has over American cars.

We’re not even sure how many 2005 to 2007 Corvettes are on the roads of Qatar, a small country next to Saudi Arabia on the coast of the Persian Gulf.

Nevertheless, The Ministry of Economy and Commerce announced Monday that it is recalling those Corvettes “due to a defect in the work of front lighting.”

We just finished watching a video of the insane reactions from passengers who are blown away by the insane acceleration of the $120,000 electric Tesla Model S EV in Insane Mode.

We have to admit it looks like fun to drive – or just ride in – a Model S EV.

Instantly going from 0 to 60 in a little over 3 seconds is enough to cause some folks to let out more than a few colorful words.

We featured the exploits of Krider Racing and their Corvette ‘Z06Life’ earlier this year when it competed and won the opening round of the 2015 Optima Batteries Ultimate Street Car Invitational.

The team has been involved in a number of racing events this year from hitting 180 mph at the Mojave Mile to a podium finish at the 25 Hours of ThunderHill, and now you can add Northern California’s Hoopa Hillclimb to the list.
