[GALLERY] Corvette Police Cars (44 Corvette photos)

How do you make any year or model of Corvette even more bad-ass than they already are? Put them in the hands of Johnny Law!

Corvettes have a long history of being used by police departments everywhere from DARE anti-drug show cars to being used as pursuit vehicles. Whatever the reason, nothing screams faster than fast than a Corvette with a police livery and an emergency light bar flashing.

So for a special Friday image gallery, we present these really cool Corvette police cars. Do you have a favorite Corvette in this week’s gallery? Let us know and be sure to share this page on Twitter and Facebook.

Last weekend, millions of Americans watched as the USA Women’s Soccer team defeated Japan to win the FIFA World Cup, the first time the team has won the cup since 1999. Shutting down the opposition throughout the tournament was goalie Hope Solo, who recorded five shut-outs and allowed only three goals.

In today’s Throwback Thursday, we go all the way back to when the goalie drove the Corvette Grand Sport Pace Car at NASCAR’s 2011 Brickyard 400 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

We began with a CORSA carbon fiber intake on our 2009 C6 and then backed that up with a CORSA Sport performance exhaust system. For Episode 4, we headed back to Smokey’s for a custom ECM tune to help get the most out our freer breathing LS3.

Those ubiquitous video cameras continue to get people in trouble.

In this case, 18 seconds of fame is getting a 25-year-old Millersville, Md., in a heap of trouble, as Sheriff Buford T. Justice might put it.

Harry Matthew Huntsman faces six traffic charges after he was caught on video doing doughnuts and other apparently illegal things in the middle of the highway near 94th and Coastal Highway in Ocean City, Md., on May 16.
