[VIDEO] Lingenfelter Dynos First Supercharged 2024 Corvette E-Ray


Since the 2024 Corvette E-Rays first hit the streets earlier this year, we’ve been excited to see what the tuners would be able to do with Chevy’s performance hybrid Corvette. The Corvette E-Ray already makes a combined 655-hp from its combination of the front electric motor and rear-mounted V8 engine. As many tuners already have years of experience in tuning the 495-hp LT2 motor, companies like Lingenfelter Performance Engineering could get right to work.

When the C8 Corvette Z06 first started hitting the streets and looking for competition, the place to go was the local drag strip, despite the fact that the car was really designed for being a track weapon. Even Corvette’s Executive Chief Engineer Tadge Juechter was a little surprised with all the drag racing that was going on and he commented on it once, saying the car wasn’t really designed to be a “numbers” car.

Since its debut in 1953, the Corvette has always been the showcase for the state of the technological art at General Motors, making it the de facto flagship for GM and the American automotive industry at large. America’s Sports Car pioneered the Magnetic Ride Control that can now be found on high-end performance vehicles ranging from the Audi R8 to the cross-town rival Ford Mustang, to almost every modern Ferrari. It was the first mass-produced car with a titanium exhaust system like the legendary McLaren F1. It was the first American car to feature a major body panel composed of carbon fiber, the first domestic to offer Enzo-spec carbon ceramic brakes, and, along with its tire partner, Michelin, it was the originator of the factory semi-slick rubber option.

Thursdays have become a fun day for us because we are either talking about allocations sent to dealers, or the start of ordering and the latest constraints. Today begins another two-week order cycle for ordering a new Corvette as selected dealers received their “estimated shipments” which is GM-speak for how many cars can be ordered.
