Was Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice behind the wheel of his black 2023 Corvette Stingray last night when it was involved in a multi-vehicle crash in northeast Dallas?

Police don’t know for sure, but news reports say they’re trying to find him to get more information.

According to the preliminary investigation, a driver in a Corvette and a driver in a Lamborghini were speeding in the fast lane on the North Central Expressway, near University Boulevard, when both lost control of their cars.

The Lamborghini traveled onto the shoulder and “hit the center median wall, causing a chain reaction collision involving four other vehicles,” according to Dallas Police spokeswoman Kristin Lowman.

After the crash, the occupants of the Stingray and the Lambo ran from the scene without stopping to see if anyone needed medical help or talking to authorities, Lowman told the Dallas Morning News. TMZ.com has the first photos from the scene and shows the occupants of the two vehicles involved leaving the scene:

Two of the other drivers, meanwhile, had to be treated at the scene with minor injuries, and two other people had to be taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

Police are still trying to identify the two runaway drivers, but a police call sheet obtained by the Morning News lists Rice as the suspected driver of the C8 Corvette. As of 9:50 a.m. today, his name was not appearing in Dallas County jail records, and the newspaper reports it “was not immediately clear if he is suspected of any charges.”

A second round draft pick from SMU in 2023, Rice was second among NFL rookie receivers in yards and caught six passes for 39 yards to help KC beat the 49ers in overtime, 25-22, in Super Bowl LVIII.
