The changeover from the C7 to the C8 Corvette will mean five weeks of downtime for the more than 300 workers who had just gotten a new lease on life after transferring to the GM assembly plant in Bowling Green from the company’s Lordstown, Ohio facility that is shutting down after 53 years.

Motor Trend Admits First C8 Corvette Dyno Test was Botched
During their initial testing of the 2020 Corvette Stingray, Motor Trend took an opportunity on their final day with the car to put it on a Mustang Dyno to see what kind of power the new LT2 V8 engine was making. The results were “out-of-this-world” as their first and subsequent tests found the car was making way more power than the 495-hp that GM advertises.
Corvettes for Sale: Your Weekly Shopping List
The best thing about my second job here at CorvetteBlogger is that it finally allows me to put the countless hours that I spend browsing online car marketplaces to good use. If I were closer to my prime-earning years and/or came into a large amount of cheddar cheese through the lottery, inheritance, or collecting the bounty on John Wick, the following Corvettes (and a few surprises) would be a must for my collection. Unfortunately, neither time travel nor any other means of augmenting income worked out for me this week. My loss is your gain as I decided to share my shopping list with my loyal readership instead of hoarding listings in hope of a long-shot cash infusion; enjoy!

The Corvette Museum Will Now Install the High Wing and Ground Effects During Museum Deliveries
Several months ago, we shared information about the 2020 Corvette High Wing LPO option not being available with your 2020 Corvette when taking R8C Museum Delivery. The high wing option had generated a high level of interest following the reveal of the 2020 Corvette and many had hopes that the National Corvette Museum would be able to install the high wing for R8C delivery.
Thanks to the high level of dedication to their customers, GM and the National Corvette Museum worked together to come up with a solution. While you could always take R8C delivery without the high wing and order it separately for later installation, you can now have the high wing already installed on your 2020 Corvette when you take delivery at the NCM!
[PICS] New Tonawanda Pride Badge To Be Featured on the C8 Corvette’s LT2 V8 Engine
Back in July we shared General Motors’ announcement that the Tonawanda, NY engine plant would produce the 495hp LT2 engine for the 2020+ Corvette.
During that July press conference in New York, Mark Ruess mentioned a “Tonawanda Pride” sticker that would adorn the rocker covers on each LT2. Earlier this week we gained some more insight about that throwback sticker during Chevrolet’s Powertrain Briefing at their Performance and Racing Center.
