When the 2021 Corvette specs arrived last year, no one was more excited to see a “Stingray R” package as we were. While initially, we were hoping this would evolve into a being a unique special edition package, it turned out that the “Stingray R” package was just a graphics package containing Corvette Racing’s Jake mascot on the hood while two “Stingray R” graphics were placed on the rear of the optional side rockers.

Following the start of production last February of the all-new C8 Mid-Engine Corvette, Chevrolet announced that both a documentary and book about the new sportscar would be coming out. We have since had the opportunity to see both parts of the video documentary which focused on the design and engineering of the 2020 Corvette. Now the book version called Corvette Stingray: The Mid-Engine Revolution will officially be released on Tuesday, March 2nd.

Earlier this week we shared a video of a C8 Corvette Z06 prototype testing out in Sedona, Arizona. If you haven’t seen it yet, it is good this will be first your look. If you have seen it, watch it again and see what we missed the first time around. So focused on trying to hear the flat-plane crank V8, we missed seeing the other mules and the Porsche in the background.
Bob liked to take a little reconnaissance run before driving his Corvette down any unknown roads. As such, he also has one of the lowest mileage Corvettes in his club!
