It’s a battle of Chevrolet’s finest! A YouTube channel that is charmingly uninhibited by an annoying YouTuber posted a video this week that is straight out of this GM fanatic’s wildest dreams. The Camaro ZL1 1LE owner/driver/videographer that goes by the handle “steelankles” participated in some open lapping at VIR with some buddies recently, and those buddies just so happen to have an LT5 and an LT6 under their respective hoods! It doesn’t get much better than that!
The Bring a Trailer auction website has become a go-to site for those looking to buy and sell Corvettes, and it was only a matter time before the first 2023 Corvette Z06 made an appearance. Well, that moment happened on Thursday when a Connecticut-based Chevy dealer listed a 70th Anniversary Z06 Convertible for sale, and bidding has already reached $200,000!

What about turning a little AI loose on the rumored ultimate “Zora” version of the C8 Corvette?
That’s the premise behind YouTuber Brian Mello’s latest chapter of “Would You Buy One?” as he uses artificial intelligence to create the Corvette Zora, a wild and crazy rendition of the mid-engine Corvette that rumor has it will honor the chief engineer, Zora Arkus-Duntov, who always wanted Chevy to go for such a layout, even as far back as the ’50s.
A very low-mileage example of the 2008 Corvette Z06 in its rarest color is currently being offered on Bring a Trailer.
So far, the high bid for this Atomic Orange Z06 with just 3,000 miles has climbed to $36,000, with five more days left in the auction.
Dealers got a big fat ZERO.
We’ve had today’s date circled on our calendar since November 22nd, as that is when Chevrolet outlined December-February order cycles for the Stingray and the Z06. The Z06 allocation schedule showed today as the day for the order cycle to start.

I have seen some commentors say this video is staged, and that may be the case with some of them, but there were some genuinely surprised reactions to the car starting up. Perhaps the most disturbing side of this video is the utter lack of care that people show to property that isn’t theirs.
