[PICS] The 2027 Stingray's New QE6 Gloss Black 10-Spoke Wheels Debut at the NCM Bash

The Wednesday before the start of the Michelin NCM Bash is typically “load-in” day for the various show cars and other vehicles that will be displayed for the three-day event, and today was no different as we watched the unloading of several new 2027 Corvettes.

One of those being displayed is a Torch Red 2027 Corvette Stingray Coupe and it’s wearing the new QE6 Gloss Black Wheels that are replacing the outgoing (Q9Y) 10-spoke Gloss Black forged aluminum wheels and the (QE5) 5-split spoke Gloss Black forged aluminum wheels.

The new 10-spoke design is offered only in Gloss Black and it will retail for $1,095.

While these may look a bit similar to the Grand Sport’s cup-style wheels which also have 10-spokes, they are noticeably different. We like a wheel that is easy to clean and the spacing between the spokes should make it very easy to fit a wheel brush into to get rid of that pesky brake dust and other road grime that black wheels seem to collect.

The 2027 Corvette Stingray Z51s are also getting some new rubber courtesy of Michelin. This Stingray is wearing the new Michelin Pilot Sport S5 ZP tires:

This Stingray is also equipped with the Asymmetrical Adrenaline Red/Jet Black interior which offers the two different colors within the cockpit. Unlike many cars that have the two-tone interiors, this one doesn’t have the corresponding stripe.

We also note that this Stingray and the Grand Sport they are showing are all “EX” VINs which means they will be headed to the crusher once their purpose has been served.

The Michelin NCM Bash kicks off on Thursday, April 23 and runs through Saturday, April 25 at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green.

When you can’t come up with something new just copy someone else. These “new” wheels are just knockoffs of some aftermarket wheels that have been around for years.
