Since the beginning of the C8 Corvette era, GM has offered a special gift to original owners as a thank you for your purchase. The gifts come in a very nice presentation box and when opened, it reveals a Speed Shape model with a design exclusive to your Corvette model. The model is featured on a presentation platform with the owner’s VIN engraved on a small plaque and it makes for a cool presentation for your office, garage, or man cave.
Each model has progressively gotten better in our opinion, although we are pretty biased when it comes to the E-Ray’s model which was done in crystal with the performance hybrid powertrain viewable within.
For those lucky enough to snag one of the new 2026 Corvette ZR1Xs, we have the first look at the exclusive Speed Shape model that will be sent to those new owners. However, it looks like Chevy is indeed keeping the ZR1X within the “ZR1 family” as it resembles that same ZR1 model we shared back in August 2025 with the only difference being the model name on the plaque.
Like the ZR1, new owners of the ZR1X will also be able to login to the CorvetteOwnerGift.com website to select a complimentary premium gift consisting of your choice of leather bags, a golf travel collection, or a Corvette leather jacket with Piloti Corvette driving shoes. New owners will receive an access code around four weeks after taking delivery. If it’s been longer, you should call the contact number listed below.
When it comes to customers receiving their Speed Shape models, we’ve heard from many who have taken delivery of their new Corvettes and have yet to receive them. If that’s the case with you, we’ve got the contact details where you can either call or email to follow up. I was told that you can request your missing Speed Shape model up to 22 months following your delivery and you should have your VIN details handy when you make the contact:
Telephone: 313-572-1025
E-Mail: [email protected]
It does seem these cool gifts arrive at various times with no rhyme or reason. Some owners get their gift immediately while others have arrived over a year from when the owner took delivery. My own E-Ray model took around nine months to arrive and only then because my dealer Mike Furman refused to stop following up with them until it was received.
If you haven’t received yours yet and it’s been a couple months since you’ve taken delivery, don’t wait and make that call today!

Great info to have Keith! Thanks for the thoughtful contact details!
I note that the ZR1X Speed Shape model shown is clearly a coupe. Do those who purchase a ZR1X retractable hardtop receive a retractable hardtop Speed Shape model?
It would also appear that the coupe doesn’t have the rear fender inlets.
A marketing gimmick is any novel toy or idea primarily aimed at attracting publicity or increase a price point while adding minimal intrinsic value to the product. Consumers take notice of the brand, not for what it can offer them but because of their fascination with novelty. Take add-on strategy, which is any complementary item given in addition to the product. For example, fast-food restaurants the kids’ meal may come with a small inexpensive toy that encourages children to ask their parents for the meal. Thanks, Ray
That’s all? Should be solid gold for what you have to pay for a ZR1X.
