Thanks for joining us on this fine SuperBowl Sunday! You know, if new Corvette sales were measured like passing yards, Mike would be in the undisputed GOAT! He’s currently chasing his 7,000 delivery milestone which will happen this year. Currently, he added some new deliveries to his total including the two Corvettes that he spotlights in today’s Delivery Dispatch. ~My very good Corvette friend, Jim Broyles was born and raised in West Virginia and a few years ago he sent me a picture of the Corvette that he first had a ride in. I noticed the plate was super rare looking. Found another picture with the same WV Centennial 1963 front plate. So two weeks ago I made an inquiry out into the world known as the “interweb” and got a response from someone in Alaska! I bought the rare plate and had it sent to me and then I mailed it to Jim. Here’s his surprised response on his FB page…
“I’m blown away….look at the surprise I received in the mail today from my awesome Corvette friend Mike Furman. Mike never misses the opportunity to do something special for his customers and friends. Some time back I had sent him the black and white photo you see here of the very first Corvette I got to ride in…..this photo was taken by me with Kodiak Bulls Eye camera in the early 60’s. The Corvette was owned by Buddy Lively who owned and operated the Texaco gas station in the southern West Virginia town where I grew up. Notice the front plate on Buddy’s Corvette. Thanks to Mike I now have that plate which is pretty special to me….coming from Mike and dating a wonderful time for me as a teenager with an intense love affair with the Corvette. I got to ride in this Corvette which is a Snowcrest White/Red 1959 many times….in the summer when Buddy drove it to the station I would ride home with him when he went for supper and most often I would walk the 2 miles back home…..I would do anything to get a Corvette ride…..been crazy about this car most all my life……and in a few weeks my 2026 will be in my garage….51 years of continuous Corvette ownership.” Jim B. The paperwork/payment process was completed by Fed ex and today Plycar trucking loaded John’s new Corvette for the trip to his Key West home.

They were all good this week! The shot of the engineer testing model Corvettes in the miniature wind tunnel was cool.
Mike, Hello! I like the shot of Larry Shinoda with the mini wind tunnel and the 1960 # 3 Le Mans Corvette! The green Callaway speedster is way cool! Keep up the good work!
My favorite is the pic of the blue C2’s lined up in a row along with some other Corvettes.
