Did a passer-by just capture the first look of the upcoming 2027 Corvette Grand Sport? New video evidence is pointing to yes!
We all know how Chevrolet likes to introduce its newest Corvettes with great photography and a video intro as they’ve done it with each C8 model introduced so far. It appears that njp_moto via Instagram just happened to drive by one of their filming locations recently and was able to capture not one but two Corvettes with some distinctive Grand Sport markings.
We see two cars that are parked in a parking area somewhere off a canyon road in the mountains, and they are positioned 180-degrees from each other. One is Arctic White and the other appears to be a very dark blue C8 that backs up the leak of Admiral Blue returning to the lineup in 2027. Both cars are wearing a set of the Grand Sport’s iconic red hash mark graphics, but they appear on the rear fenders of the C8 as opposed to the front fenders where they have traditionally been located.
The original Instagram poster also provided a capture from the video which shows the Grand Sport Coupe wearing black wheels and it has a quad-center exhaust! We can’t make out any of the wheel designs as both are black and get lost in the photo, and neither car appears to have a spoiler. The original image is dark and so it’s hard to make out the side intake trim, but after a quick adjustment that brought up the image levels, it appears to reveal a body color trim as opposed to Carbon Flash. We can also make out a Red badge behind the door designating the model.
There has been a flurry of information being revealed about the Corvette Grand Sport as the gears of production within GM slowly shift to the upcoming 2027 model year. Most of the recent leaks have come directly from the automaker and so by now it’s no secret from the Corvette Nation that the Grand Sport is coming. Looking at the timeline, the Grand Sport’s reveal should probably happen sometime this spring with production starting up in late summer or early fall.
We also have the Michelin Bash Event at the National Corvette Museum happening at the end of April, and it’s a key venue for allowing conversations between Corvette enthusiasts and Corvette Team members. Hopefully details of the car will be public by then as it would make better use of the engineer’s time if they didn’t have to reply to questions about “discussing future product” and could instead answer those pertinent questions.

Is that a wide body or the regular Stingray body? I posted a question and theory that the GS could be done with the Stingray’s body.
The red hash marks need to be on the front fenders like they’ve always been on previous Grand Sports.
I’d also like to see the hashes moved to the front, Robert. While changing things, I’d also remove them from non-GS options lists.
Historically, the hash marks were used to help emergency crews determine which side of the vehicle held a possibly injured driver in races featuring a mix of American and British cars, so, technically, the hash marks should only be on the left side, too, as they were on the ’96 GS and the famed #2 ’63 that inspired them.
@ Robert – The front hash marks are on Constr8nt. They only have the back ones. 🤔🤦😂
